Innovation Makes Leaders
Basically what innovation does is making your business unique and often more progressive in its development.
Looking deeper at positive influence of innovation allows us to notice clear tendency from business stagnation to rapid development depending on what level of innovation takes place in business management and planning.
The logic behind is simple if your business is a clone in its product and business structure, it will more likely to experience difficulties in reaching set goals in comparison with more innovative and therefore flexible competitive predecessor. New and well-grounded approaches greatly raise chances of any legal entity to take the lead over competitors, because one cannot beat competition doing the same things competitor does. It takes implementation of the new progressive vision and steps in business development.
Business innovation is an organizational and behavioral strategy any part of running business should be based on. In other words, it is an alternative way of thinking and doing business. There are times where conservative attitude allows securing reached results and accumulating resources for taking next step, still conservatism in Internet surroundings is to be exception rather than rule.
Human is a conservative creature by nature, especially at a mature age. We agree to face any evolutionism when we start private business or under unordinary circumstances (yet 80% of all people don’t even want to take a risk of starting their own businesses) but once all problems have been settled, the need for "another angle of viewpoint" vanishes, making us highly vulnerable in the face of external changes and environment.
I used the word "risk" on purpose, as we know, any innovation is a risk. Doing what others do may be a wise strategy for slow moving – low profit development and it may be good for big corporation where gross income in several hundreds million dollars can "leverage" their reluctance for adopting innovative measures.
Small business owner does not have such privilege. For him/her it is usually a matter of survival to be innovative or not.
Innovation is a feature and integral part of starting, running and developing business, especially Internet business nowadays. I laid stress on Internet business for the unique competitive surrounding it possesses. While competition in offline business world may "forgive" some "imperfections" in plans, services, products or marketing due to inability of instantly offering a good alternative, business online instantly presents any visitor with thousands of similar choices that can be reached with a click of a mouse.
For every offline business owner having several direct competitors on the same street is a nightmare, demanding taking unordinary steps in order to "keep afloat". For every online business owner hundreds, if not tens of thousands, direct competitors "on the same street" are a usual and inevitable feature of running online business from the very beginning. Crucial part of making a difference here is to implement innovative-based business tactics on a constant basis.
There are many strategies of unique marketing measures that brought success. I have personally emphasized the importance of creating USP (Unique Selling Proposition), but all of these advices are nothing more than a way of innovation implementation.
Whether you are creating a new product, choosing a web-design, setting up customer support or developing marketing plan – be innovative and unique in your approaches.
Every starting solo professional on the net experiences shortage in everything but probably a desire to succeed, so there is no point in reinventing the wheel. Often we are forced to make a compromise. If we speak about marketing strategy your next move may be well-known, widely-used and, therefore, customer-response-depleted or, on the other hand, innovative, unique and fresh, generating exposure you have never anticipated. Unfortinately many of us go the "conservative" way and that is why are doomed to read success stories of others, trying to reproduce what thousands marketers do vainly.
We are given proven tools that work – USP, time management, branding, viral marketing, affiliate programs etc. they represent the invented axe – a proven tool – with help of which we need to cross the "Internet business ocean" and reach desired point "B", but it is for us to decide how wisely to use given axe.
The first one decided to throw it away and swim across, the second built a raft, the third added oars, while the forth one in addition set a sail with a steering-wheel. What are you going to do? Rationalism teaches you to go the best-known forth way, while innovation – set a second sail or invent a steam engine!
Business Process Management
Business process management is the process of designing and maintaining an environment in which individuals, working together in groups, efficiently accomplish selected aims. This basic definition needs to be expanded as manager’s carry out the managerial functions of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. Management applies to any kind of organization. It applies to managers at all organizational levels. The aim of all managers is to create a surplus. Managing is concerned with productivity implying effectiveness and efficiency.
Many scholars and managers have found that the analysis of business process management is facilitated by a useful and clear organization of knowledge. In studying management, it is helpful to break it down into five managerial functions involving planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. The knowledge that underlies those functions is organized around these five functions.
Managers are charged with the responsibility of taking actions that will make it possible for individuals to make their best contributions to group objectives. Management applies to small and large organizations, to profit and not-for-profit enterprises, to manufacturing as well as service industries. The term enterprise refers to businesses, government agencies, hospitals, universities and other organizations. In business process management, all managers carry out managerial functions. However, the time spent for each function may differ. Top-level managers spend more time on planning and organizing than do lower level managers. Leading, on the other hand, takes a great deal of time for first-line supervisors. The difference in the amount of time spent on controlling varies only slightly for managers at various levels.
Business process management, like all other practices such as medicine, engineering or baseball, is an art. It is know-how. It is doing things in light of the realities of a situation. Yet managers can work better by using organized knowledge about management. It is this knowledge that constitutes a science. Thus, managing as practice is an art; the organized knowledge underlying the practice may be referred to as a science.
During my first year of college a life-long family friend and mentor tragically lost his son. Separated by distance, I assumed that his Christian friends, the staff at his church, and his Sunday school class would step in and wrap their arms around him and his wife. Needless to say I was surprised, one year later, when we were able to finally meet face to face. When I asked him how he and his wife were doing the first words out of his mouth were, “Brian, the church failed us during our greatest time of need.” Knowing first-hand his maturity and emotional soundness, I was taken back. I thought, “If he said the church failed them, the church must have really failed them.”
Those who experience tragic loss, which I’m sure will include all of us by the time we leave this planet, experience sorrow that defies explanation. C.S. Lewis, struggling to put into words how he felt after losing his wife commented,
“No one ever told me that grief felt so much like fear. I am not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the yawning. I keep on swallowing.” (A Grief Observed , p. 19)
And if there was ever someone besides Lewis that couldn’t put their finger on the depth of their grief, it had to be Naomi.
The Book of Ruth tells us that Naomi was happily married to a man named Elimilech and together they had two strong sons, Mahlon and Kilion. As life goes, business took her family to a foreign country-a place called Moab. But even in that distant land their family blossomed. Life was good. Then, without even the faintest hint that heartbreak was standing at her door, Naomi’s husband didn’t return home for dinner. Who could have known that their kiss that morning would have been their last? Her sons eventually married, but even their weddings and talk of children couldn’t take away the emptiness she felt. Finally, in a cruel twist that even Hollywood wouldn’t script, she lost both of her sons. She was devastated, alone and bewildered. Naomi was so broken that Ruth 1:20 tells us that she began asking people to not call her Naomi (meaning “pleasant”) anymore but Mara (meaning “bitter”).
The bright spot, if there can be a bright spot in someone’s tragic loss, is that there was someone who didn’t leave her. Her name was Ruth, her daughter-in-law. We’re told she didn’t offer any deep theological explanations. There’s no record that she tried to provide the “right word” at the “right time.” All we hear is Ruth’s promise in Ruth 1:16, “Where you go I will go, and where you stay, I will stay.” And that’s exactly what she did.
I never asked my friend what his church could have done differently. I didn’t feel that it was my place.
My guess? Unlike Ruth, there were probably too many words and too few visits.
The S.W.P.D. Recipe for Success
A wonderful quote by author and scholar William A. Ward relates a time-tested recipe for success. Think of it as the S.W.P.D. success recipe. This simple and powerful formula has brought success to many men and women who have put it to use. S.W.P.D stands for studying, working, preparing, and dreaming.
"Recipe for success: Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing; prepare while others are playing; and dream while others are wishing." – William A. Ward
Move Beyond Limitations and See the Outcome
We each define success differently. We also have different limitations. Yet limitations need not stop us from living our purpose and achieving our objectives.
We will be guided by powerful helping hands when we commit ourselves to success, and follow it’s laws. Success begins by requiring that we keep our minds focused on our desired outcome, not our limitations.
Mr. Ward also said, "If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it."
The success we envision can seem far away. The preparations necessary may take time and effort. There may be temptations to quit with the finish line years in the distance. Mentally zoom in and look at it! Experience your future success internally today.
Take Small Steps for Big Results
Instead of trying to leap from the starting line to the finish line, we can begin by taking one small step – doing what we are capable of doing – today. Success results from small disciplined actions repeated each day. Small purposeful steps will eventually get us to the finish line.
Prepare and Move Forward to Succeed
Some skip planning and preparation, want the work done for them, and want the payoff; they will never succeed. We need to take a stand for what we want, commit to it, and then start building our own doors to knock on. Commitment holds power, and moves us to take the actions necessary to reach our goals and objectives.
Keep Learning and Get Fired Up
Success does not exist inside books. Yet books are valuable in that they catalyze the abilities already inside us. Books wake us up, and provide necessary inspiration, motivation, and education. They nourish and fire up our potential. Then it is up to us to put that knowledge into action, and develop discipline and skills. Good books work… if we work.
Success is Within You
The Creator placed the seeds of success in the exact place they would be needed; they live inside of us, waiting to germinate, grow, and blossom. When we stay focused on our objectives, and follow time-tested recipes for success, those seeds will grow to bring rewarding accomplishments in the years to come.
Begin dreaming, studying, planning, and working for what you want today. Your gifts will make room for the achievements of your dreams. Your success will bring value and joy to you and all those you serve!
Spirituality in the Redemptive Self
Wisdom is like a rose that is ready to sprout with potential to bring beauty into this world. As one develops throughout the ages he also develops wisdom which finally begins to peak in the later adulthood. This wisdom is not only seen in terms of the knowledge that a person gains throughout his life but in terms of the experience, that one derives from failures and happiness.
Moreover, it is wisdom that leads to the strengthening of spirituality in order to realize the potential of the self and soul. Spirituality is the psychical being that an individual manifests and it is upon its basis that a person realizes the potential of his soul and self. Wisdom and spirituality are the cornerstones towards developing the soul and self. Through wisdom, you get the essential knowledge that is needed for the enlightenment. The enlightenment leads to spiritual realization, which strengthens your self confidence and acceptance. If the highest form of spirituality is achieved then the person may experience nirvana or that particular time in space where mind, body and soul are one.
It has been of considerable scientific speculation to find the origin of the soul in the body. It was Rene Descartes famous hypothesis that the soul rested in the pituitary gland of the brain. But this proved antithetical to the very basis of the meaning of the soul. The soul is immaterial and therefore cannot manifest itself in matter. However, over the ages with the advancement of living the study of the soul has become more of a paranormal aspect than a scientific one?
Psychologically your soul rests within the confines of your mental processes. In fact, it is not a single entity but an aggregate of neural activity in the brain that canalizes all your psychological energy. This psychological energy is seen in terms of you faiths and beliefs. It is not a superstitious entity and the need to realize the true potential that is manifest within you.
Your soul gains expression through what you believe in. In order to express, your beliefs a person starts practicing the interest that he believes in. This might be through joining a club or sect or offering prayers in accordance with the religion that an individual belongs to. By practicing the beliefs that the soul dictates the person canalizes the beliefs into actions. When these actions are produced in reality the self gains a sense of identity as the individual inherits a sense of awareness that whatever he or she is doing is crucial to the identity of the individual.
With this renewed sense of identity by practicing ones beliefs your soul and self blend into the other. This is the criteria of happy living, as happiness can only be realized when mind and body are one. Therefore, it is absolutely essential that health be maintained in order for the body to remain healthy. As for the mind, the faculties of concentration, attention and creativity should be at their top most. With these criteria’s of the mind and body in good shape, the soul and self can be guaranteed a positive development.
You must remember that your soul is the aggregate of all the actions that you do in real life. It is these actions that determine your self concept. In short, it is your Karma that decides that right course of action. Your judgment between good and evil is decided upon how you would want to represent yourself. It is only with heightened spirituality and wisdom that you would do a good deed and maintain a positive self-concept.
Thus, the essence of your self and soul is your spirituality. Spirituality enables you to have faith and maintain beliefs even while facing stressors throughout ones life.

Think Orange! Creativity and the Sacral Chakra
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could just flick a switch and turn on your creativity? Sadly, at times, tapping into your creativity can feel like trying to squeeze water from a stone. The good news is, there are ways of encouraging creativity and one of these ways is through balancing your sacral chakra.
Chakra is the Sanskrit word for moving wheel; the chakras are vortexes of energy present in the ethereal body and in corresponding locations of the physical body. There are seven major chakras and they function as pathways for energy to be taken in.
The sacral chakra, sometimes called the spleen or navel chakra, is located in the lower abdomen, approximately two inches below the navel. It governs sexuality, self-worth and creativity and is also associated with desire, pleasure, emotional balance and the abundance that you allow into your life for the fulfillment of your desires.
If this chakra is functioning well, you will experience enriched creativity, enhanced emotional gratification and courage, sexual vitality and positive self-esteem. If this chakra is blocked, however, both sexual and creative frustration occurs. You may have difficulties tapping into your creativity. Or you may have brilliantly creative ideas, but problems with manifesting your projects. A blockage can also manifest physically with lower back pain, sciatica, problems of the reproductive system, lowered libido and urinary problems.
Luckily, there are many tools to help balance the chakras. I’ve listed some of the correspondences for the sacral chakra together with guidelines on how to use these tools to balance this chakra and hence enhance your creativity.
Surround yourself with orange. Wear it, eat it (preferably in the form of food) or paint your studio or workspace with it. If you meditate, visualize orange around the area of this chakra.
MUSIC: sensual flowing music with passionate rhythms (think Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”)
Dance, using your hips. Gyrate, baby, gyrate!
GEMSTONES: any orange stone – carnelian, orange jasper, fire opal, moonstone
You can wear these stones as jewelry or carry them in your pocket or purse.
ESSENTIAL OILS: sandalwood, jasmine, ylang ylang, clary sage, bergamot, orange blossom
Burn oils in an oil burner. Combine 10 drops or use singly in a bath. (This is particularly effective as water is the element governed by the sacral chakra.). Put some drops on a handkerchief and sniff it when you need inspiration. Make yourself a massage oil by adding a few drops of essential oil to almond oil.
Now you know what to do to get your creative juices flowing; go take a bath whilst eating a mango, come out and drape yourself in orange clothes and jewels and start swaying those hips to a cool groove.
Then, go create!
Why Do You ‘Not Benefit’ From Coaching Golf Tips
Most golfers have had dozens of opportunities to receive coaching golf tips from numerous sources. However the most interesting aspect of it all is that many are not able to benefit much from these coaching golf tips.
What could be the reason? Is it that the coaching golf tips are not explained in enough detail? Or is it that most golfers fail to grasp them? All these possible reasons are highly unlikely because most coaching golf tips are given and explained in a very practical manner.
If we have any hope of solving this mystery then we must start looking for the answer in the area of implementation. The mind understands but the body is unable to execute. Weak flabby and therefore tense muscles have a problem keeping up with stress and pressure exerted.
Golf still has many players who have stuck to the good old days when exercises were unheard of amongst golfers. When nobody could hear of strength exercises for golf to strengthen muscles and help the golfer dramatically improve on their golf swing. Those are the days when stretch exercises were very minimal and almost non-existent.
These kinds of golfers would obviously have a serious problem implementing most coaching golf tips and adopting them to their game.
There is yet another reason why many golfers do not benefit from coaching golf tips. It emerges from the fact that not every coaching golf tip will work for every golfer. Some tips will suit the styles of certain golfers more than that of others. The problem here is that many golfers quickly get discouraged when they find that they cannot use the first few coaching golf tips and abandon all the rest.
This is really sad because in all probability the coaching golf tip that best suits them is somewhere in the long list just waiting to be discovered.
The Secret of Happiness
What does happiness mean to you? There’s a lot of searching going on these days for the elusive emotion of “being happy” –where do you find it, how do you create it, even what it actually is.
But I’d like to share a little secret with you — happiness is not just for a lucky few who were born with it.
You see, happiness is not something you can reach out and touch or put in the refrigerator and take a sip when you need it. Happiness is not found on a beach in Hawaii (really!) or in a perfect body. It’s not even in that perfect relationship that Tom Cruise tries to sell us in the movies.
Yet from the images bombarding you every day, it’s easy to make the mistake that happiness will arrive on your doorstep when you have the latest car, the best clothes, a fancy home, isn’t it? It’s easy to get caught in the trap of thinking that if you could just find the right person, they’d arrive with a box of happiness attached to his/her hip. But all this does is convince you that happiness is something to be found outside of yourself.
And that’s where you get off track. Because the secret is that happiness is simply a by-product of creating and living a life that works, a life that you enjoy — whatever that is. Happiness comes from doing what you what, where you want to do it, who whom you want to do it with.
And yes, I can hear all of you — “But I can’t get the job I want because I’d have to go to school for 8 years, and I have to live here because I can’t afford to move, and what do you mean “who I want to do it with” because I want to hang out with Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey or Bill and Hillary Clinton”.
And thank you all for making my point for me.
You see, happiness starts by believing you have control over your life; and grows by making choices that will give you a sense of well being, satisfaction. Happiness comes from deciding that you *will* go to school for 8 years if that’s what it takes. That you *will* organize your life until you can afford to move. And that YOU decide who to hug, how much to smile, what music you listen to, and who you hang out with, even if it’s not Bill and Hillary.
Happiness is about making the best choices you can about who you spend your time with, how you making your living, how much you learn, what you put into your body. Because when you feel good about the space you’re in, when you’re with people you admire and respect and they admire and respect you, when you’re working on a project that’s meaningful to you — happiness will shine right through.
And that’s no secret.
Decide today to stop chasing happiness, and instead choose three things that you love to do, that contribute to your feeling of well-being and satisfaction. Schedule time for them, every day if possible, every week at least. It doesn’t have to be for a long time, just 10 minutes a day will help you create the happiness that you’re looking for. Guaranteed.
And that’s no secret either.
Advantages of Time Management
The advantages of time management include reducing stress, gaining time, reducing avoidance, while promoting reviews and eliminating cramming. Another advantage is that managing time helps us to stay motivated while we avoid procrastination.
The trick to successful time management is setting up goals that work, while having an awareness of those goals and prioritizing your list of goals. When you set up an effective time management plan, you are growing and upholding a personal commitment to yourself, with the ability to be more flexible.
When you have a great time management plan, you are giving yourself an individual chance to, to generate a timetable that works to suit your busy caseload. When you create a good plan, you will soon find time to do all the things that matter most to you in life. In addition, when you have a good time management plan, you are saving your health.
Plans have a schedule timed, which includes all the activities you are responsible to handle. Your Master Timetable should include all the most important activities you are responsible to handle. It is important that you modify this schedule according to your time changes. When you set up a Master Timetable, you will need to list the priorities first, and work your way down to the least important tasks.
It is important that you follow as you write the tasks first listed. In other words, if you state on your Master Timetable that you need to write up some documents for your business, then do this task first and proceed to the next task. Try to avoid handling multitasking at once, unless it is your job and you are sufficient, and have laid out a time management plan.
You will also need to include meals, sleep, family, friends, yourself, and other tasks if you they are a part of your time management. By setting up a Master Timetable, you can work out your time scheme by working through the list on the time chart. Try to avoid skipping a scheduled task, or procrastinating, since this will only delay your plan.
It is important to keep in mind, that time is essential. When we waste time, we are wasting money. After you have laid out a suitable Schedule Timetable, you will soon learn that your motivation has increased, while your progress is moving ahead. In addition, you will soon find that your stress level is at a normal state. When you are not focused, or do not have a time management plan, you are only hurting yourself in the long run.
Most people without a time management plan often suffer with poor health, insomnia, and other discomforting issues. Some people even find themselves in court waiting for the judge to say “You are now divorced.” So you can see that time management is important since it affects everyone around you, but most of all, it affects you.
A final tip: Exercise and eating right plays an essential role to time management, since when you feel good, you work well under a management plan.
